July 10, 2008 - The Ontario Provincial Doubles Championships schedule of playing times has been finalized and is available here. Please note that since we emailed the schedule, there has been a change in JUNIOR "A" BOYS and 40' "E" & 40' "F".

June 16, 2008 - The Ontario Provincial Singles Championships results have already been tabulated from the weekend, which was yesterday! We're getting better at this. The results can be viewed here. Here's a summary of the Champions:

Peewee -- Seth Lindsay
Junior Girls -- Joanna Vienneau
Junior Boys -- Scotty Lumb
Elders -- Steve Csandi
Senior Men -- Charlie Fromm
Ladies -- Sandy Janssens
Mens -- Ron Parisien

June 10, 2008 - The Ontario rankings on Canstats have been compiled using the results from 2007. Canstats is unable to access the current results in order to post the current rankings because of a problem with data transfer using the Shoes program. Please refer all ranking questions to the results posted on Horseshoe Ontario under the Horseshoe Ontario Stats or contact Dawn directly at dmorse@golden.net.

Congratulations to Keith Lindsay who pitched a perfect game at the Beachville Doubles Tournament on June 7. Keith and Ernie Pellow were in a play off game against Shea and Ken Pellow. Keith pitched 10 straight ringers for a 25 - 0 win.

March 1, 2008 - The Horseshoe World has lost yet another dedicated man to the sport of pitching horseshoes and the fellowship that the sport creates within the competition on the courts.
On Monday February 25th, 2008, Bernie Baetz, the President of the K W Khaki Club, a long time member of Horseshoe Ontario and Michigan-Ontario Friendship Games, passed away. Beloved husband of Connie (nee Counter) for 50 years. Devoted father of  Bob (Marlene Schueller), Tim (Sylvie Bournival), Dave, and Lisa Sullivan (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Caitlin, Clin, Cody, Dean, Robbie, Cassandra and Michael. Also survived by sisters, Betty Wagner (Herb) and Helen Wojcik; brother Bob Baetz (Judy) and brother-in-law, Frank Hughes. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Otto and Violet Baetz, brothers Bill and Harry and sisters Marg and Jean.

January 23, 2008 - Please be aware that the Horseshoe Ontario stats under the Rankings section have just been updated with a slight modification... 30 feet distance pitchers are categorized with an E for Elder.
